If people want to talk about their situations, I don’t mind listening. Indeed, I often find it interesting. If it’s a friend, they tell me because they know what I think already and don’t need to ask. If it’s a stranger, they tell me because they don’t care what I think and won’t need to ask. Most times, people just want to talk. Simple. And, as I said, I’m ok with listening. There are periods, though, where I’m actually asked for advice – one such, just recently.
Whenever I’m asked to help with a difficult choice, the only advice I can ever give is to follow your heart and take your head along for the ride. Your heart gives you the destination and your head gives you the directions.
The failsafe? Trust your gut reaction, it’s really your best friend.
